Help GPS Issues

I am currently using a rooted thunderbolt and today I noticed that it cannot find a GPS signal.

I used four apps to try to find my own location and none if them were able to. They were off quite a bit. The apps were my tracks, navigation, google maps, and weather bug.

I never had this issue prior to rooting. I also want to add that I was outside when testing those apps.

Is this an issue with rooting or do I just have to adjust some settings?

Shouldn't be a rooting issue, though I guess its possible. Try downloading "GPS status" from the market. This will clear your GPS cache and data as well as use the interwebs to "recalibrate" your signal. It definitely improved the time needed to lock on to my location. Hope this helps!

I downloaded that and did all the calibrations and I don't think it did anything. The GPS is still unable to connect.

I downloaded a compass app to try and calibrate with that but that didn't seem to do anything either.

the gps status app helped a lot in my case too. also, not sure if this has had an impact or not, but running bamf 1.3.2 i get almost immediate gps lock.

don't know which helped more (the app or the rom), but starting with gps status app is a good idea for those who aren't rooted.

Thanks for the info about this app! My TB's gps worked but sometimes took a while to get a lock on my location. I installed GPS Status and went to tools, Manage A-GPS state, and reset. My phone is much faster when locking in my location using maps and even works better indoors.
