Help GPS Issues

I recently rooted my phone to a stock Rom and have had no problems. That us until I tried the GPS in the navigation app. It keeps searching for GPS and never locks on. I've also recently noticed that Facebook check-in will not work either. It worked at the airport before I left home but after using airplane mode it doesn't. I've used GPS stats and it finds 8-10 satellites. Please help me fix this.

Ready for something crazy?
Try unmounting your SD card. Then remove it.
Reinstall the sd card.

Don't know how but it fixed my gps issues

there's an issue in the navigation app. it's hanging. you can pop out of there and load maps and usually the GPS will be available/locked when you go back to navigation.

alternately, this will work

it will refresh the AGPS data and will get Navigation working again. It seems that when I use the GPS status and get new AGPS data, the Navigation hang up disappears for a long time.

My theory is that a large portion of these issues is caused by a hang getting AGPS data. Given that HTC cant seem to get their servers worked out (for sense.com or hub), I'm guessing their AGPS data refresh is timing out too. I think GPS Status forces the refresh instead of hanging. just my theory

I don't get why people are having this issue. My GPS works perfectly. What's even funnier is that when I'm just on Network Location it still shows me on the map only 5-15ft from where I actually am, which blew me away. Lol. This phone is awesome..
