GPS Map?

Has anyone found a GPS-enabled map application that doesn't require a network connection?
Here in Alaska, it would be extremely useful....

I wish there was a way to save/cache zoom level 9 or 10 maps. Interstates and major highways type stuff just downloaded to the SD card. I've wanted to use the gps out of cell coverage a couple of times myself. (just as in "how far is the next city")
