Help GPS not fixing on itself

Heya, im trying to get a my gps to fix but it won't do it without mobile networks, but im travelling and dont have a data package, so im keeping to airplane mode.
I tried the app GPS status and i gave it 30 minutes to get fix but it didnt get it, and an app called Faster Fix which did not help.
I am pretty sure that before i flashed checkrom 4 a week ago it worked ok, so im not sure if the firmware or gps itself is faulty.
Anyone got an idea or a suggestion?
If not, ill flash different firmware and see if it works.

Thanks Alot.

Without data or Wi-Fi to help you, I would have said about 20 min's to get a firm, steady, reasonably accurate, lock. This would be true of whatever ROM you use I'm afraid. Without AGPS to help you then this is really the best you can expect.

Thanks mate.
I know it takes time, but i gave it 30 mins and still nothing.

I had a similar problem with my last phone, (Nokia n95), i reinstalled the firmware and it fixed it, so i think thats what ill try.

Traveling to where? Forget about getting a fix in China. They have some kind of disruption going on. But I didn't have problem when I went to Vietnam for work a couple of times. Quite fast. But did have wifi in hotel. :D
