Help GPS Not Turning Off

Sometimes, I use an application that uses GPS, it still continues to check for GPS after I quit it. I use ATK to kill it, lock it, unlock it, and it's still checking for GPS while it's locked. The only way I found to fix this is to restart the phone, and wanted to know if there was any way to stop making it check for GPS without restarting the phone...

happens on my incredible occasionally, i have a gps toggle widget and if i turn it off then back on it is fine, hope this helps

Actually, nvm. What happened was I kept turning on the position test thing, then just pressing the home button. I just went back to the GPS thing, turned off the position test, and it was fixed. Thanks a lot of for the help...
