GPS notification "sticks"

When I switch on my GPS in my Eris, I get the notification icon up at the top of the screen ... fine. When I turn off the GPS, the icon stays. No big deal, but it is a bit annoying. The only way I have been able to get rid of the icon is to do a reboot. I have cleared notifications, killed all apps, etc. Nothing works except the reboot. Thoughts?

My phone does that, too. Tell HTC about it. I dare you.
