Help GPS on Sprint's HTC Hero

Hi Everyone,

From what I understand, from Phandroid.com, the Sprint's Hero will be using the TeleNav service for navigation and there will likely be an extra cost for it.

My question is that with this device, will the person be able to use GPS on the Hero besides the TeleNav feature? In other words, if someone wanted
to use a program like ShopSavvy, could they use the GPS for it?

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Nikhil

Comes with Google Maps which is free to use. Gives you Directions and estimated times, normal and with traffic...very cool

No you wont be limited to use only sprint navigation ( telenav)

As others have stated, you will be free to use whatever GPS you want. You will only be limited to what apps are actually available.

Why would there be an extra charge for Telenav?

With Sprint's Everything Plans navigation is included.

So far I am very impressed... coming from Verizon there is no comparison with the Sprint Hero GPS and VZ Navigator. I am almost convinced that I will be able to ditch my Garmin.
