I have HTC hero in Ireland. My operator is o2. The GPS works fine on the phone, most of the time.
The GPS will not get a fix if I am at or near my home. If I take the sim card out of my phone I get a gps fix straight away. If go to go to settings and manually select a different network operator(it tells me my sim card cannot connect, but disconnects from o2) I can get a gps fix.
So basically it looks as if I cannot get a gps fix if my phone is connected to this particular cell tower ( near my house).
Does anyone know why or how this is happening ? I have returned my phone believing it to be faulty, but HTC tested it and said there was nothing wrong it.
