Help GPS Problem

I'm having trouble with my GPS/Navigation, is there a known problem with it?

Coming from a HTC One X I was a little frustrated to see there was no navigation app and have to go through then Maps every time,

But now when I type in destinations I just get 'waiting for location'

I have to GPS turned on and set to use GPS and WIFI and Mobile Data and have all 3 turned on but the GPS Icon on the top bar never appears.

Wondering if its a handset fault or a known issue?

1) Navigation is now Maps.

2) If it doesn't work - handset problem, known fault, bad luck, whatever - it's still under warranty, so bring it back and have it exchanged. Check out whether Maps sees the GPS before you leave the store. (If it doesn't, and they tell you it's because you're inside, ask them to come outside with you for a minute to make sure they don't have to replace the replacement.)

try this:
get gps status
Install and open
hit menu key (3 dots in lower right) and choose 'tools'
choose 'manage a-gps state'
choose 'reset'
phone should freeze for a moment and then reboot.

this fixed some gps issues i was having in the past.
good luck

If you want the old Navigation icon on your home screen, just long press an empty space and select Add apps and widgets. Then choose Shortcut. Click Activities, scroll down to Maps, click it and select Navigation.

Just to add to this. In order to complete that specific set of steps you need Nova Launcher. :)

If you don't like other launchers because you cant add Blinkfeed then take a look here for the solution:Add blinkfeed on Nova Launcher

The steps are different for other launchers. You have listed the exact steps for Nova. The stock launcher (Blinkfeed) cannot do this.

If you have a method for doing this for Blinkfeed (without any other launchers installed) please let us know!

Weird. My BlinkFeed launcher allows shortcuts.
Maybe because I use a custom ROM (Android Revolution), which is slightly modified.
