Root GPS Services Not Working Now on GB

Ever since upgrading to .596 GB from Froyo using the two file method, my GPS acquisition has been horrible. Every time I used Google Navigation, it constantly sits there at the "Searching for GPS" screen and never actually proceeds. When using Google maps, it either takes forever or it never locks on to my location. I've rebooted, pulled the battery, and even did a Factory Reset to no avail.

Anyone else having this issue? Suggestions?

Hmm.. I had this issue with .595 but the .596 update fixed it for me..

What do you have your settings on? Maybe that could be the issue?

Settings > Location & security

i had GPs issues goign from 595 - 596.

What fixed for me was to SBF back to .340
use the 2 zip installs for 596
then flash the deodoxed 596

just tried mine and it instantly nailed me down to within one house address and im sitting inside the house atm.

Sorry for being dense, but when you say "then flash the deodoxed 596", can you explain what you mean? Which deodoxed 596 did you download, and did you just install it like the other 2 zips (through D2 Bootstrap)?

Bouchigo has a deodoxer zip, once you get .596 odexed you will run his deodoxer zip through d2 bootstrap

Tried this, and still no luck.

My settings in Location and Security Settings have the following checked:

Google location services
Standalone GPS services

i have the same issue as well. sometimes a reboot fixes it, sometimes it doesnt. eventually it always fixes it self, but it is a PITA...
