Not sure where to put this, as I dont know whether this is a general gps issue or a post-root problem, but I guess here is a start.
Rooted my phone some time ago, ran 3 different GPS sports tracking apps over a few months before settling on one, and then I started having problems....... the phone would lock up when an app was running after a few miles, and I couldnt get the screen to come back on. Only way to get the phone on was remove the battery.
I tried different things to find out what was causing it, including a format of the memory card, and download of a gps app to clean out all the AGPS data. After a while, decided that for whatever reason it was the power saving that was causing the lock up - in general mode it seemed ok (using battery saver DX)
Then tonight, went out on a 12 mile ride, started Sports Tracker, checed the GPS was solid, started the app, no problem........ confindent all would be fine this time. Ad when I got back, it had either rebooted or Sports Tracker had just stopped running. Getting pretty p**sed off now as I like to use it as a training tool. Its the same with Strava, Endomondo, MapMyRide...........
Any suggestions above and beyond what I have already done? The problem started when I was running a MildWild Oxygen rom, then I decided to use SURoots dGB rom and thought a good clean up of the phone would help.
