Help gps stays on

Hi there ,

this is my first post on here so as you can guess im a noob

i picked up my xperia play this morning and since orange registered it have been having a little play and mess around.

i downloaded a few apps and added my email etc etc just the general stuff you do , however the gps icon if flashing constantly and will not turn off now , i have turned wireless networks and gps off on the phone but it continues to flash asif it is still on :s


any suggestions and help would be appreciated

I haven't had that happen on mine, but I would first try rebooting the phone and see if the problem is still there with GPS still disabled.

gps may turn on , on its own but its more of a test than an application using it. this happens to all phones as a means of an emergency incase you call the police ect & you cant give out a proper address they try to pin point your loccation via gps .
