Root GPS stopped working

my wife's phone camera died the exact moment i flashed it. she swore i broke it by flashing it (and i wasn't so sure myself). i odin'd back, and ran through so many hoops i couldn't count them all... finally, we decided to send it in for a replacement. after receiving the new one, followed the exact same process (and many flashes sense) and no issues with the camera.

strange the timing on things sometimes... lol

I have been following your posts for a couple days Xruptor because I was having the same issue. It turns out the problem is in the Kernel and Kouma released an unnofficial version of 2.3 which you can find in the KoumaKernel thread you posted on earlier, post #646. The fix finally worked for me and I'm using the /data option, not the ssm. It even seems to have sped up my lock on time as well!

Yep there was an issue with /data mode for KK2.2. Kourma is currently working on it and it should have been fixed on 2.3. The 2.2 version was preventing the GPS from functioning properly.

On a side note I stuck with EJ06 because the FA19 baseband modem is TERRIBLE compared to EJ06. I get better reception better signal and better 3G. Not sure why the hell they released that baseband in the first place.

hope you guys don't mind the slight "thread jack" but odin back to stock.

thats for the OS android. is there anyway to go back to "stock" on the programming ? ie modem 3g etc..? or to "disable" those portions of the device?

I have an old prevail someone tried to use as a donor for a boost clone job. they really borked the phone portion trying to extract the 3g information.

so now its stuck in airplane mode (thats fine by me its where I would put it anyway) and causes high power usage and random reboots.

is there anything I can do to zero out or reset or something that portion of the phone? I don't care if it disabled it (would be fine by me as long as BT and WIFI kept working)

its going to be part of my glass dash in my car so I don't ever plan to use the phone portion :-)

Nope, sadly not even Samsung could do it... Lol. Sent in my girls phone because she somehow did the same thing (messed with stl5)
They had to replace the pba
