Help GPS will not lock

I have had my original thunderbolt since January, I have yet to get my GPS navigation to lock on for directions. Anyone have any tips to get a fix this situation.

I had a similar problem for a few months. Try this: 1. In settings, go to software update and install the latest update on your phone as long as you aren't already rooted. 2. download GPS Status, the free version. 3. enable gps and then open GPS Status. Wait for it to get a fix and then open Navigation.

Root. I get an instant lock with the Gingeritis 3D rom. Even after the latest OTA, the GPS still took forever to lock. That was when I decided it was time to root.

Joe,
Are u an extended network? If so, try locking onto gps in a VZW area. I had the gps(location) issue with my Inc and Thunderbolt.

I did exactly what you said. I could not get the GPS status app to lock on.
