Haha. I don't even know who that is.
Not me, and I don't know anyone else watching it either. Is a thing like the Grammys still relevant today, apart for the benefit of the US music industry and the RIAA?
Nor do I. Had a girlfriend called Adele once.
Adele is probably one of the best voices to come out of England in a long long time. She's got a soulful tone about her. You all should really catch up with the times....I like old classic rock myself, but there are some artist who come be named right up there with them. Not alot, but a select few.

I like Adele, but awards shows are crap.
Really, who votes? The last 5 years or so I have looked at news and seen movies and music that was nominated or won and was like... Who in their right mind voted for that over a decent movie?????

They do not need to know. Technology has removed the need to know what music is and how it is produced. When you no longer care about notes and clefs and scores and strings and tubas, the musician';s job is easier. Just add one third no talent, one third autotuning and one third hype/marketing and a hit is yours.
I've read that many pop stars can't actually sing live and in-tune, they have to mime to recordings.

This. I agree with the comments about most of the vapid pop stars, but Adele got where she did on pure talent. Not a gimmick, panty-less crotch shot, or wardrobe malfunction in sight.

Many can't sing, that is true. Not sure about Adele. Some say she does not use the technology and a few wonder how much processing takes place in the studio to help her. So far, no proof she uses autotuning.
Many artists are "helped" in the studio but that help can be for effect or some other reason that does not take away from the raw talent.
