Grant Supperuser Permissions

So I may be missing something here but, I rooted my Desire and installed this ROM: [ROM] Rooted Official HTC Android 2.2 (FroYo) ROM [Market issue fixed] - xda-developers

Now when running an app, for example Terminal Emulator and a command is ran which requires SU rights, a box will pop up asking if you want to permit.

In the app drawr an app is pressent called 'Superuser Permissions' when granting an app, such as terminal Emulator, SU access it appears in here.

However, When using some ASTRO and I wish to view the /data directory, i can but it is displayed as empty (which it is not) as ASTRO does not have superuser rights and no box pops up asking to permit. Can I add applicaions and grant them superuser rights manually?

EDIT: excuse the typo 'suPPeruser'

I dont think astro supports viewing system directories which would require root access, astro is pretty functional but I dont think its been designed with root in mind.

Try root explorer if youre looking for a file manager that works with SU permissions.
