Great app for all UK users!

funkylogik

share the love peeps ;)
A grand statement I know lol.
Read the description then I'll give you am anecdote https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orderlysoftware

I use a prepay service, I top up with £15 and use that to buy an add on that gives me 300minutes of calls, 3000sms and unlimited data. This leaves me with zero credit.
Today I had to call my bank and the number is a 08459 number. I don't know if that's a free number or not but my call allowance won't let me dial 0845,0870,etc etc numbers so I dialed the number into the app which used it's online database to find a geographical (normal) number for the company when i hit dial.
The call rang perfectly but I was put in a queue so I hit "9*" and the call disconnected while WeQ4U's server waited in the queue for me and rang me when the lady answered (im not sure how this part works or if it's dependant on the operator listening to a message and maybe hitting a button but it worked for me.
Also, with the queue function it works with normal numbers too and you aren't charged/deducted minutes while the service queues for you.

Oh one more thing, theres an option in the app that let's you just use your default dialer with the same functionality.
What's the catch?
Some advertising or a one off £2.95 ad free version (as far as I know.
Just had to share as it saved my life (not literally) today and I think it should be on every UK resident's phone.
Enjoy :thumbsupdroid:

You could also try using the website saynoto0870.com, if you enter the number you are trying to reach 9 times out of 10 they have a freephone or local rate number to use instead.
Yeah that's what I used before I discovered this convenience mate :thumbsupdroid:

I love the first line where the "pitch" the App Funky, sounds like one of those TV infomercials that come on at 4 a.m. selling you some kitchen utensil, lol, "Fed up with queueing for UK call centres? The WeQ4U App gets you through without waiting on 01/02/03/08 numbers!" All jokes aside, if it does what it says it does I think the title of this thread was more than justified!!;)

Out of curiosity, I tried this "UK users" WeQ4U... it's just says "SORRY!...We're REALLY sorry, we can't route this call for you. :("

My UK bank is 0845.., and that can be rather expensive via Skype Out actually. But I did subsequently find their direct real number anyway. :thumbsupdroid:

With a Chinese ad.. LOL

BTW an interest of mine very occasionally, is seeing how UK specific apps like this deal with being in China, and vice versa.
