Great info!

Me and apsterling discovered something wonderful! We can get write access to what appears to be all the partitions on the device over USB I just fixed my bootloop through the method I outlined here: Motorola Triumph is an open book. | Coderah

EDIT: The Partitions or Drives that mount are "cda, MOBILE, cache, hidden, system, userdata, caivs"

I don't know what that means but awesome hehe

Basically it gives those of us who mucked up our system directories or any files therein and opportunity to fix that.

Aye it gives us a comfort knowing we can accidentally mess something up and fix it as long as we keep stock backups.

Would this mean that we can make some changes to the phone without having to root? Like changing the Virgin Mobile startup and shutdown video/audio to ... well, pretty much anything else?

[harvickchick]

Well heck that's great to know. I'm too scared to root due to me messing something up lol

Right, and it makes everything a lot easier!
