green blinking indicator light

Lurker
Anyone else notice that the green indicator light is blinking in a different spot? Don't think it's a big deal, maybe it's from the update. I really only noticed it b/c there's a cutout for the light on my Zagg skin and this new light placement is not in the cutout. Just wondering....

Mine flashes green, blue, and red at different times. I'm not sure what they mean. i figured red is low battery, green is sufficient battery, but not really sure.

lol - I had to check the date to make sure that this wasn't an April Fools joke.

Seriously? the physically located LED hole (on a Moto-Droid) is no longer where it use to be since getting 2.1? The Droid can do some amazing things, but I don't think it can drill itself a new hole and move the led.

Green is if you have a text message, blue if you have a email, red if you have very low battery like 10%, yellow if you have like 20% battery.

my notifications are different than your guys'

green is email/text (i changed the text to purple though), facebook is blue, low battery is red.

Ahahaha! There's an app for that.

I have noticed since the update that my led used to come on blue for a hancent text and just stay lit. Green was e-mail and it flashed. That was before since the update it just flashes green for everything, along with the random reboots, and my screen doesn't seem to respond as well either, but this is just about the lights lol

green is system default. will be seen for Talk, Voice

I have apps that allow me to have:

red - gmail (gMail notifier)
blue - calendar event (MissedCall)
purple - missed call (MissedCall)
orange - MMS or SMS (HandCent)
green - Google Talk or Voice (system)

colored LED's are awesome

I totally agree colored LED's are awesome but is it just me or does anyone else wish we had one as big as the one on the blackberries. This one is just a little to small to say catch my eye passing by or glancing at it without looking for the light.

Honestly, I wish the led notifier was a little more sleek. Maybe a light indicater around the ear hole that faded in and out when there was a notification. (Think of the Wii indicator around the dvd slot) Or maybe just make the touch sensitive buttons do this. Oh well, I suppose it still gets the job done even tho its ugly! :D

All color preferences aside, I have noticed that my LED blinks more inconsistently since the 2.1 update. It used to blink for all texts, emails, any kind of message. Now, sometimes it will blink for an unread text, and sometimes I will wake my phone up and the text icon will be in my notification bar, but the LED was not blinking.

Not sure why it picks and chooses when to do it now.
