Root Green Camera Tint

Video recording still crashing. H.263 states unsupported video codec for this resolution upon record press,mpeg4 and h.264 crash upon pressing record. Pictures look fine with some adjusting of the camera settings. What settings are you guys using when recording video?

Is this with the remix?

OK the crashing is happening not because of the app but because if you have settings set to save video to external storage...it crashes. Set to internal and it records

Hey All. I played around with the Volts alot. I have two of them one from VM and the other from Boost. I never had the green tint issue on Boost Volt. However VM Volt always had green tint on CM 11, and Cm 12. Is it possible that Boost Volt used a diffent front Camara. One more thing I took etc folder from the latest Decaf cm 11 and replaced on the cm 11 20150613 and guess what the camara works including video recording and playback ( Boost and VM) some tint present yet on VM Volt, hope that helps

We need to play around and replace files in etc one at a time to see what exactly fixed it, so I can build it into a new caf cm11 rom and give you credit for fixing it. That should be a final build status for caf cm11 and we can say hell with stock kernel once and for all. Should work for lollipop roms too since caf cm11 and 12 are using the same kernel.

any other cm11 variants would probably benefit from this also.

If he pulled the /etc folder from decaf cm11 and it worked in caf cm11, I'm thinking something is still messed up in decaf cm11. I'd rather just abandon that one and have one completely working rom since caf has double tap to wake, more governors, sound and video pretty much worked out, etc.

Edit: still gonna have to figure out hq YouTube and such in caf roms.

I was watching 480p YouTube videos earlier on cm11 remix. not sure that's considered HQ but YouTube allowed the option and it played.

If you're open to suggestion and it was a one-or-the-other type of scenario, I'd vote for PAC ROM to be that one. Assuming it's no less feasible than CM 11. I think its customization options and tweaks put it head and shoulders above pure CM. PAC's the closest I've come to finding a daily driver that wasn't based on stock.

I ran Meld between the two folders, the only difference of consequence is that the CAF CM11 is missing the dsp firmware files. I'll try to verify this in the coming days, unless anyone else beats me to it (please do). Files of interest are everything in /system/etc/firmware
