Hey to all around the globe,

Of course I'm a gadget geek however perhaps less than some here. I enjoy gadgets that I feel enhance life and suit me. So some of them I'll pass on. Android is great...and I do the surveys to gain credit which is easy and handy. Now I'm looking, casually as and when the mood takes me, for apps to try out, use and buy if they are good.

I'm always on the lookout for a good social network site that is prepared to attract people away from Facebook...any pointers? I've tried a number of them however people seem glued to Facebook.

Anyways...asides from gadgets, I'm a wheelchair user with a rather nifty new Tailwind gadgety chair; an assistance dog who's not a gadget and spend far too much time at home. I'm creative, resourceful and love to learn more about useful devices. I live in the East Midlands of the UK and will sure love to get to know people in the UK, to build up some friendships.

Hi mate, just stumbled across your post.
I'm in Scotland.
As a Facebook alternative I fully recommend Google Plus (G+)
It's much more interest based than Facebook and ive made contacts from all across the world.
The best part of it is its "Communities" (groups).
There's one for nearly any interest, especially tech and especially Android.

What interests do you have for apps? Cooking? Travel? Games? As far as Social Networking, I use G+ a little, and twitter a little. AF here is my primary online community.;)

I seem to use AF app and g+ equally but you wouldn't know it looking at my battery stats /rant

I use Twitter, try to steer off of FB and have resurrected my G+ account in a third attempt to see whether it can work. I fully supported it when it began and tried persuading others. With G+ it kinds gives a false statistic of users as all Gmail users are on there.
Yes...I've started looking up the groups so perhaps a closer look at communities will prove fruitful, thank you. Oh and Funky...you'll know it's me when I add you [emoji33]
 
Hey Unforgiven, thanks for your reply. I'm interested in apps, travel, some games...also love the ocean, watching surfing, being in the outdoors, design...outdoor/indoor spaces and 2D.
 
Ooo that sounds handy! I've just found ViewPoint which for me, with my off mountain ability, sounds great too
