I'm a new owner of an LG Ally. I had been reading up on Android before I got this phone and I came across this forum. I'm no stranger to computers and command lines. However, I am a novice when it comes to Linux based command lines. I have been a Windows OS user for the longest time, but by no means am I a Windows fanboy. Thanks to this site, I rooted both mine and my mother's LG Allys the day after we got them. Originally I just rooted them so I could delete the annoying PowerOn.mp3 file that would play that awful Verizon start up sound every time it rebooted of its own accord. Already y'all have been a great community and a big help. I look forward to spending more time on these forums. Hopefully, I won't come as as a n00b too often.
