Hello to everybody, I am new to this world of android.
I live in Spain, I the first android device I owned is a Xperia ray which I got last month from my carrier (Vodafone) for a few euros to retire my previous SE Satio (as you can see I am a little Sony biased).
My ray was a wonderful discovery to me. In almost no time I Sim unlocked it, unlocked the bootloader and I was flashing custom firmwares. However I got it jammed pretty soon (the memory was always full).
So I decided to try my luck in eBay and got a Xperia S at a good price. The phone is wonderful, no memory clog problems and much faster than the ray, but I haven't been able to unlock the bootloader or even root it. I hope when we get ICS rooting will be possible. I don't mind not being able to flash custom FW, but rooting is essential to me (for backups, recovery utils and so).
From ths forum I expect to get help and also to be able to help others, although I am a noob.
