Howdy folks! Just introducing myself as I'm new to this forum. I've had a Droid X for about 2 years and with my contract having ended I'm ready for an upgrade. I stumbled on this forum after searching information on the Verizion release of the Samsung Galaxy S3 which I have preordered. And if you haven't already figured it out yet, I'm a Star Wars fan! :D A lot of good info on this forum, and I'm glad to have found it!

You're in good company being a Star Wars fan around here. Many of us are right there with you. And welcome to AF! :)

Thanks, everyone! Glad to see I'm not a lone Star Wars fan, but I guess it would be weird for any tech/gadget forum not to have any.

I have just disassembled a new Android Flytouch 6 Tablet. It arrived with a crushed touchscreen, and while repairing it, I wanted to upgrade the battery, the microSD chip, and possibly the speakers.

I have taken pictures if anyone would be interested. Let me know what Forum would be appropriate.

I have contacted the manufacturer who will send a new touchscreen. However, I have not as yet taken a screen apart. I have seen vids and will do my best.

The battery upgrade I purchased turned out to not fit within the case; it was an 8000mah unit. Turns out the original 5000mah is not too bad, better than some of the older 2000mah units.

Despite my precautions, I was not able to take the ribbons off without damage to the ribbon retainer clips. I have asked the factory for replacements.

It already comes with 1gb of DDR Ram and the 16gb microSD internal chip. Upon disassembly, I would like to max this out to a 32gb microSD internal chip.

Any comments?
