New to the latest in smart phones. Used to the old style where you just made a call and now I tend to surf the net a little to get news and stock info. Just need to learn how to operate this new gadget without racking up huge data charges. Hope you folks can walk me through some of the things or questions I make post. Thankyou.

Great to have you here! What phone and carrier do you have?

Depending on your carrier, they may have an app that will let you keep up with how much data you are using. If you're just surfing and reading I wouldn't worry a lot about data. I think most people use far less than they think they do.
