group contact help pls!!

how in the world do u add contacts into groups? i goto groups and when i try to add member non of my contacts show...what the f***

ok found the problem..i have my contacts syncd with my gmail account and under contacts its under gmail and not phone list..how can i transfer the contacts to the phone list so i can add to groups? thks

I don't think it's possible at this time. It looks like all Gmail contacts are viewed as a group. I have my contacts in their own groups in Gmail but evidently this doesn't transfer to the phone. Hopefully they will add this feature in the future.
