Help group messages?

by using a different message app other then the stock one. The stock one doesn't work well with group message. Sometime a person replies in group will show up as individual message on his/her own thread. It is hard to figure out who is saying what to whom if you have more than 3 people in the group messages.
 
I've got Sprint GN2- and I can't get the group message thing figured out.

If I receive a group message, it just comes up as separate message from the respective users (who are using the Iphone).

I downloaded SMS pro- but the problem persists. Any thoughts?

For Go SMS Pro - make sure you go into the "Receive Settings" and disable other message notifications so your not receiving two notifications for the same text

make sure you go into the "Send Settings" and make sure MMS Group Chat is enabled and split conversations is unchecked

You will still be able to view all of your text in the stock app if need be (and even google voice if you are using it)
 
If you are curious if you're part of a group message, you can long-press on the message body and click "View details" to see the header information. If there are multiple recipients, their phone numbers will be noted within.

Just tried all of the above and still have not had success. Is this perhaps a Sprint thing?

Anyone with the GN-2 Sprint have this issue? Or is this solely an, "I'm an idiot and did something wrong" issue.

My sister has an iPhone I only notice the random text at holidays when she finds it in her heart to tell everyone at once happy holidays(Ha ha). I've tried Handcent and Go Sms and I can't figure out the group text either, but it's not that important to me. There is an app called Powwow you might want to try.

I see that. My question is why when I do send a group message and someone in the group responds it sends it as an individual text? This gets so confusing at times.
 
Yeah this is something that keeps some folks from moving over to Android. My Nexus 4 doesn't have any problems with this, but it seems Samsung doesn't have it quite figured out.
 
Problem solved. I downloaded a different app- Handcent SMS. Clicked the group message box, and auto download MMS.

Works great, no issues now.
