Group texting

Does anyone know of a way to make a group available on our phones for strictly texting or picture mail purposes without creating a chat? On my old phone if I was to forward a picture mail I had several "groups" to choose from to forward. IE family, co workers, or a list of people who would not be offended with naked pics etc. Right now I am having to go through my whole list of contacts for each thing I want to send and it is really a pain. If there is a easier way any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

No way stock that I know of.

I downloaded Text Easy free from the Market for the occasions I need to send texts to multiple people. It allows you to create groups although I haven't used that. For me, I sometimes need to scroll through all my contacts and "check off" who I want to text. Decent app.
