Help GS 2 always charging\connected to pc\in car mode

hi!
i've been having this problem with my sg2 since yesteday (bought it at the end of may):
the phone always thinks it's connected to pc\charger.
1. i get false battery info
2. pc won't recognise my phone
3. gets to 100% REALLY FAST

the only thing i found was this:

it was a problem with gs1. havn't seen anyone with this issue in sg2
i have tried the offered solution there (cleaning the usb port) but it didn't work.

any ideas/solutions? anyone else having this problem?

yes thank for responding, i tried a factory reset no go still battery will not charge and always errors with battery disconnected.

take battery out, check the terminals (i.e. no paper/plastic in front of the points)
otherwise sounds like a faulty battery. take it back.

I had a similar problem, my SGS2 would beep & vibrate as if it was connected to kies when it wasn't also when i'd turn it off the charging screen would appear. Its been getting "repaired" since 7/7 !!
