Help gs 2 keeps freezing when playing :(

Hi there.
This is my first post. 3 days ago i threw away my nokia c7
and decided i wanted a killer smartphone so i chose the samsung g s 2
and i love it. But i do think its a problem that it keeps freezing in almost any game
i play. I dont know if its the phone or the apps thats the problem.

Apps that froze:
Megajump
dragonhunter 2 (this one froze alot)
Bunny shooter
lane splitter
and a few more..

What can i do? Do i need to return the phone ?

I have exactly the same issue and to be honest i only noticed it happen after i updated to 2.3.4 so any advice would be spot on thanks.
 
I'm getting a similar issue but only with 'my car salon' lots of other games work fine, one thing I've found helps is to clear the games cache (this didn't clear any saved game for me but proceed with caution) then just play the game in airplane mode, like I said this helps but doesn't solve the problem entirely as A) it's bloody annoying to have to do this and B) it comes back eventually anyway. Sorry I can't be of more help but I 2 am on the hunt for a solution.
 
for flip sakes, honestly, Im having the same issue with my galaxy s 2, i haven't tried this cause i only have a 1 gig memory card but my friend recommends copying all your games to your memory card and then try playing your games, then it shouldnt freeze, can someone try this and let me know if this works, if it does please post so i can go buy a bigger memory card.

seriously this is freaking annoying, I purchase the "best phone ever" which I'm completely happy with and the main reason I bought the damn thing for doesn't even work... honestly, everything else with the phone is eprfect except for the fact that when I play certain games, my freaking phone freezes and I have to reset and start again
 
I do not believe putting game data on the external microSD card would necessarily make it run any better.

As for games freezing, there could be many reasons and since you mentioned only certain games, it might be apps clashing more than the phone itself. So first off, mind mentioning what games are facing problems and maybe some in the forum can help you.

So I had the same issue with pausing during games and I found on another forum that it has to do with the maps and allowing auto updates. so I found maps in market (which is already installed) and I unchecked the automatic updates box and I haven't had my games pause on me since. Hope this works for you too.
 
I've seldom had freezes in games and when I've had them its mainly because of some bug in the game.
However you guys have to update your firmware to 2.3.5 at least.
. 4 is known to be quite buggy with issues such as freezing and whatnot
 
Interesting, I'm on 2.3.3 still (no .4 update for my phone co. yet) and cop this freezing all the time... sometimes at the same spot on a game.. When i reset I can get further etc, then it freezes. Phone runs insanely hot too (compared to my old DHD which ran warm but not hot, (and never froze))
 
Same here I have the Sgs-2 and I am trying to play Real Racing-2 and if Freezes and exits on its own after a while. I am very sad that the most technologically advanced snartphone with the latest processor and good bit of RAM crashes this way while playing game. Even I have not been able to find any answer for this as yet. I feel like throwing away this piece of shit called the SGS-2 seriously !
