Due to living in the "country" I have turned off my sat service (no DSL or Cable) and have gone to only using my GS2 (att) as a hot spot for home internet use. So far as long as I can find a place in my house to get several bars the hot spot works better than the sat and is faster.
When I had sat service I would plug (ethernet) the modem to the WAN port of my wireless router. And also plug in my HP7310 network printer into one of the other ports. So then I could surf and print on my network.
Now that I have the GS2 I can connect my laptops to the hotspot without any problems. This network is called GS2WiFI. My printer is connected to my router and is on DLINK network. I can not connect my laptops to the GS2WIFI and DLINK networks at the same time. So now I can not print while surfing.
I have tried tethering via USB on the GS2 and wifi to DLINK and that works. The problem is because of my weak phone data reception it is difficult to tether usb and find a good signal.
So now my question:
Is there a router that I can plug my phone into (USB) and my printer into so they and my laptops will be on the same network?
Am I looking at this wrong? Is there another way?
TIA
