Help GS2 - Battery and Crashing Problems

Hi,

I have had a GS2 for a few months and it has been working fantastically.

Now over the last few days it has been behaving oddly.

First of all, it seems to get hotter than it ever has before, I understand it will get when being used.

But previously, I had the phone with blue tooth on, using google navigation and playing music, in docking mode so being charged too and it got warm - ish!!!

Now with nothing else running, just playing music it gets hotter than it did when doing the above!

The battery seems to be a real problem too, it seems to drain really quick when playing music, freezes and behaves very laggy.

Yesterday it took approx 1 hour to charge 5%!!! - the phone wasn't being used but was on charging. I set it off charging approx 5.30 pm and it hadn't fully charged by 11pm (there was 5% battery remaining when I plugged it in).

I have tried:
Turning off and leaving, then back on.
Running battery down and fully re charging.
Using inbuilt task manager to close everything.
Clearing the RAM.

Today I have disabled, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and it is on Vibrate mode.
The battery was at 100% at 8am this morning, now at 1pm it has approx 25% battery left and I have used it to play music for approx 1 hour and a few texts. Nothing else, other than that it has been running in stanby.

The only thing I can think of is I don't get a very good signal here, would it constantly trying to connect cause the battery to drain? - having said that, signal is terrible here all the time so that should not have just started affecting it now!

Any help anybody can give will be great.

Even my S2 is sluggish in getting charged now after the ICS update. Its just 25-30% charged after one hr of charging. Whereas earlier it used to be approx 40%charge after one hr of charging. Don't know wat to do now.

This evening I fully charged my SGS2 and a short while later noticed it had switched itself off, I think this is the fourth time in as many days. After taking the battery out and then re-inserting it the battery is showing as only being 51% charged.

I've had the phone for just over 6 months and had no real problems to speak of, but it seems to me that any major problems I've experienced have only happened since the ICS update. I hope there's another update coming soon as I'm beginning to lose faith in what I considered to be the best phone currently available.
