Help GS2 External SD Card Corruption

pyon88

Lurker
I have a rooted GS2 with an external SD card. The SD card keeps getting corrupted. It's happened twice already. What might be the problem?

Is it a genuine sandisk or similar, or did you get a cheap one off ebay?
how old is the card? there is only a finite number of times an SD card can be written to, so if its quite old or had a busy life then this may be the problem.

Other than that? I would try saving what you can, then try reformatting and see how it goes after that.

It's a sandisk and it's relatively new. I got the card a few months ago. When it got corrupted the first time, I reformatted it and a few weeks later, it was corrupted again.

Doesnt sound too good then if its happened before.
It may be worth contacting the seller and ask for a replacement

corrupted. ..means? you cannot read the files on your card even using your file manager on phone?? mine does not boot on startup .. but it reads the files. . cannot use my gallery/camera since it says card not mounted. .. used another card and same issue returned. ..

have you tried to format your cards?
