GS2KernelWipe Script

cache and dalvik-cache is no longer wiped These areas are not actually used at all by kernels, so wiping these areas is totally unnecessary.

I know that the kernel itself doesn't actually use the cache/dalvik but I always thought it was a good idea to wipe them. Don't apps like voltage control and external tweaks have cached info about the kernels, so would it not be beneficial to clear these?

/cache certainly isn't necessary Shotty.
I see your point about VC for example, but the script removes voltage control settings anyway. The only possibility perhaps is if you use VC and save the boot settings as a startup service.

I've now put up v1.8

Inspired by your words Shotty, it now removes Voltage Control, NSTools and SetCPU dalvik-cache areas specifically.
:)

Are you competing with gokhanmoral, of Siyah kernel fame, for the most releases in one week? :D

I've given up using NSTools as it doesn't seem to be required with the Siyah kernel and ExTweaks on Battery config... or is it?

I think you need NSTools if you want BLN to work for missed calls butty.
I forgot about exTweaks.
Hang fire on downloading 1.8. Download it in 10 minutes or so.... :banghead:

Edit. Ok to download. Now includes ExTweaks.

You really made changes based on something I said? That's a brave move my friend:stupido3:

Hawker, your going from "geek" status to "uber geek"status (and therefore require hero worship).

Seriously, thanks !

@ hawker. Do you want me to share links to this on XDA on new Dorimanx kernel support thread.

Thanks again. I've been a fan of your work for a while. And so happy to hear you are using Dorimanx as your kernel and continuing your project.

Thanks buddy ;)

Should prove useful and help many users and can be used as part of debug if anyone has issues to see if it resolves it.

I have copied your op and put a link to this thread with credits to you. ;)
