GS3 Keyboard Alternative?

ZakS123

Lurker
So, I was told that the GS3 had autocorrect by a Sprint sales person. They lied apparently, or was misinformed or something. So now I have a problem, and I need a new keyboard. But I have no idea which to get.

I'm looking for something that can...

-Autocorrect words for you (I really hate the predictive text).
-Swipe
-And the basics.
-Also, I'm not looking to spend a fortune on it. I'm a broke college student. haha.

Some other problems I've been having, although you guys don't have to answer this, are...

1.) I can't connect to my wifi since a silly Sprint guy hard-restarted my phone.
2.) My texting is really slow sometimes. Like, when I type I can remove my fingers and the words are still going.

Thanks for the help! =]

A Google search shows there is autocorrect in the Samsung Keyboard. That said, get SwiftKey - it will make you love predictive text.

Well I can tell you there isn't, it's just not in the GS3 phone. I don't want predictive text.

Isn't there a keyboard that would give me autocorrect?

in terms of autocorrect, you really can't beat swiftkey. And with the upcoming (no one really knows when yet) flow update, it'll get swype-like functionality as well

I prefer Swype. Its actually built into Samsung phones too. Simply go into menu>settings>language and keyboard>select input method>Swype.

Then for autocorrect, menu>settings>language and keyboard>Swype>Word Suggestions>Autocorrect

Weird. I merged my double post and its still there? :D Anyway, main difference: Swype is free, and Swiftkey is not. LOL. Prediction for either does not make a difference to me since my native language is not English nor available for both devices. I can teach Swype the language, so basically free vs paid is the only consideration I have. :D
