Help GS3 Randomly turning off/rebooting.

It started a few days ago , Its been randomly turning off or sometimes rebooting on its own. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Do you know how to fix it? thanks

Is it rooted by any chance?

If it's not rooted I would do a factory reset if it was my phone.

I was thinking the same thing about doing A factory reset, but was really waiting to see if there was any other solution. Factory reset would be my last option.

I think I would consider a factory reset and see if that fixes the issue.

I once had this problem, it kept turning off during the night and so therefore wouldn't wake me up the next morning :L A factory restart worked for me!

Sorry mate but i gotta assume its a JB bug that needs factory resetting too
If you were rooted, itd be be a lot more painless.
Samsung should really have told everyone to factory reset after getting JB.... imagine how many non tech people who dont use forums like this who r putting up with buggy phones after updating.....

Factory reset doesnt always work. I thought the issue was due to root so I unrooted, put the factory imagre back on (even formated data before so there wasn't any rom remaining) and after the first reboot and setup it rebooted on its own the first time I opened the email application Must be some stupid bug somewhere.

It could just be a recently installed app. I recently installed Carbon from the play store. I noticed a slight decrease in battery life and 1 or 2 reboots per day. After uninstalling Carbon, my S3 is back to normal. I don't blame Carbon exclusively, cause MANY people use it with no issues. It just wasn't playing well with my current configuration.

Open the Play store / Menu key / My Apps / swipe left to All. Recently installed apps should be listed first.
