Root GSB Exchange Mail Problems

Hey everyone!
Just rooted to the latest GSB, and I really like it. But I tried connecting this guy to my work Exchange e-mail and it does not connect. I also heard I can't sync the exhange e-mail calendar to the one on GSB. Anyone hear of anything like that? Any suggestions to link my work e-mail to the phone?

Thanks!!

You may be able to do it in your gmail account. I forward my other gmail account to my main gmail account. Never tried to do it with any other account though, worth a shot.

great, thanks.

I got it working, but I thought I'd add gmail to the "email" client as well, and it apparently doesn't support push?

Push in Exchange has been flaky lately. It hasn't been pushing things over as soon as they come in as it should. I wonder if it's a bug. It was working great on CELB Froyo 4.3.

Mine had been working perfectly until this week. Email is not coming unless I sync manually. Has anyone found a solution? I an considering deleting the account and setting it up again, but that's a pain.

The solution I found was to go into Cyanogenmod Performance settings and check the box that locks messaging apps in memory. I think the problem is that the memory manager kills the app that should be syncing it.

It hasn't worked quite as well as it should but it has worked a lot better since checking that box. Let us know if it works for you.

I couldn't originally get my exchange to work on my phone in the regular "MAIL" app because it is still Exchange Server 2003, and I couldn't figure out how to connect...so I purchased Touchdown. I now use Touchdown and have had NO problems getting my email set up on any ROM that I've run (including GSB 2.0 that I just installed today)...Touchdown works great and is worth the money!

Thanks for the suggestion. It's still not working. I'll figure something else out.

Yeah, my mail has been working well, until recently...like mentioned above by you all it has not been synching automatically. Even when I sync it, sometimes it still won't update. Kind of disappointing. I've messed with some settings...still nothing...
I suppose I'll look into Touchdown. Hope it's not too $$.
I'm currently on GSB 2.0 though, and overall the system is smooth!

I did a factory reset when I upgraded to GSB 2.0. After setting it back up, it's been syncing well so far. I'm using the standard e-mail app.
