Root [GSM] wifi not working

i have htc evo 3d or rogers service brand when i update it from gingerbred to ics its wifi not working when i click on wifi button for on it stuck there and does not start wifi
 
is the phone rooted? if so well need more info. how was it rooted? how were you trying to update from GB to ICS?
 
A factory reset may help your issue after upgrading. Also you might possibly be able to run an ruu.
