"...I, on the other hand, prefer the belt and braces method of, "you can never have too many backups". Today 07:46 AM.."

So do I. Not only is my calendar and contacts synced to my Google on-line account, that is also synced to my desktop Outlook which is backed up both on and off site, as is the stuff on the phone's 32GB SD card. Pity I can't do the same with my non-rooted phone system stuff; Acronis True Image used for my desktop so a full restore is possible for that.

Have used a system backup in anger. Arose one morning, switched on machine, dead hard drive. Had spare drive so installed that then restored system and data. Just over an hour later continued work for my client. He phoned me late that morning thanking me for my usual prompt service. He was not informed that I had no machine at the beginning of the day!

Now upgraded to ICS via Kies; followed ironass upgrading suggestions.

PDA: I900PXXLPH
Phone: I900PXXLPC
CSC: I900PO2ULP4

Phone feels faster, smoother, more responsive. One app, PimlicalA, now loads in a second or less rather than the previous 10 or so seconds. Also seems to pick up signals better; often go to out of he way places where signals weak, now phone can connect more reliably.

Most apps ran ok; had to download a few.
