GTA III coming to Galaxy S2

I want that figurine! Awesome game, but i cant see me playing it on my phone! Took me ages to finish it on the ps2, playing on a touch screen that long doesnt appeal .. but ill likely buy it for the nostalgia
 
Yeah I probably won't get it, but it's nice to know it's there lol. I guess this means the S2 is powerful enough to play PS2 games? I wouldn't have thought so, I thought we were between N64 and PSP power.
 
Apparently they went for the Tegra powered devices first but they should be working on s2 version soon. Does it support the six axis controller?
 
iPrice: it's a bit over 3 pounds. total download is under 500mb.
Runs a little laggy (amount of cars onscreen is a factor) , but still playable, they've done a good job, it's been modified a bit, but it seems they only did what was necessary, so it still looks like it's a PS2 game, which means we can brag our phone has PS2 power somewhat.
Hopefully the iOS version is downgraded.
 
Appears on market, installs and runs fine on S2, so there is official support for S2. Haven't played it much so cant really comment on lag/gameplay etc yet.
 
yeah it is in market now for like 5 dollars. the game play is smooth on the s2 :) very impress and very supported. but one thing isnt that great is the cut scene, has bad framerate so it lags half and half.
 
Not surprised on the cutscenes. OMAP3, OMAP4, and Tegra 2 uses hardware video decodes whereas Exynos doesn't. An update can properly offload this to software media decoders, so hopefully it's fixed soon.

There is no perfect phone, everyone has it's ups and downs. This is one case where we don't have the superior device. Feels weird, doesn't it? :)
 
Haven't played too much of it yet but I'm impressed. For any other rooters with the game make sure you're not using deadline scheduler as it's pants for the game. Caused me a few problems but as soon as I changed that its working perfectly.
 
Downloaded gta3 knowing that it wasn't officially supported on the s2, but I read that some people are getting good experiences. Mine is mixed. It will play for a few minutes and then crash. Anyone know when an official s2 version will be released. I left iPhone and apple for the s2 and Android. So far I'm impressed, but this has left a sour taste in my mouth. I thought I had purchased one of the better phones available, and then I learn that rockstar won't support the s2 from the beginning. :(
 
I have only done 3 missions or so.. i had a bug where the menus wouldn't work but i closed it down and opened it back up and was fixed. Apart from that, flawless!

Cant see myself finishing this though, bit too hard to control for long periods lol.
 
I`m bit dissapointed tbh as a big fan of GTA series on PC. Especially in terms of graphics if u compare it to 9mm...
 
No crashing for me (you mean force close or something?), or do you mean when you're driving a car and the screen freezes? For me, I noticed the radar is still working, If you get this, just get out of the car and it will fix.

I like the autosave idea.
