Help gtablet keyboard selection

[steven ray]

I'm now using my gtablet in Spain and need a spanish keyboard. I installed a couple of possibilities, but when I try to select one a message pops up that says "This input method may be able to collect...Use this input method?" and it gives me 2 possible answers, OKAY and CANCEL. It doesn't matter which I select - nothing happens (the box remains unchecked). Is there any simple help out there? Viewsonic gives me no tech support.

You cannot change keyboards on the stock ROM. Switch to any other ROM (except TNT lite) and you will be able to use any one you want.

Hello Everyone,
Last night..I DID get VEGAn-TAB Gingerbread ROM installed,so far my impression of it is fantastic !! I'm pretty satisfied with it except one issue. That is the on screen keyboard is certainly different..I'm SO used to just a 'standard' QWERTY style keyboard, the way it is now, I actually have to hunt for the correct characters, which at least for me makes typing more difficult. And that's the ONLY keyboard that's included in this ROM. If I can somehow get that corrected, I'll really be satisfied. Thanks for your patience, and for reading my ramblings.

Now that you're on a custom Rom, you can install any keyboard you would like from the market. There are about hundreds, so at least one is sure to fit your needs.
