Root gtablet rooting upgrading and more questions.

I just bought a viewsonic gtablet for 269.00 shipping was free and no tax. This is the 10 inch 512 ram 1 ghz processor with 16gb memory.

My question is this, it comes loaded with droid 2.2 but I am looking for ways to root it and get this device to have more features than i know it comes with.

Any instructions on how to get this thing rooted and upgraded to the latest and greatest?
