Help Guess I'm the only one that got a good battery...

Obviously, or you would have made it believable. :p

But really, this is the internet... what's the saying? Pics or it didn't happen? I've seen what 4g does to batteries first hand, and there are reports everywhere that its no different on the TB. Just idling 16 hours of 4g should have killed your battery, let alone the rest. Are you - 100% - positive that wifi wasn't connected? Your numbers really aren't that outlandish if you were on wifi.

Dude it's possible.

Here is a video I made today from another thread

As every day goes by my battery is lasting longer and longer.

Yeah guess I should have been more clear on wifi, it was connected for 30 minutes this morning and four hours tonight. My web useage wasn't during those times though

Dam, those are some good pointers guys. I'm going to try it tomorrow...

Just a thought, i tried this today... i put enable mobile internet and wifi on my home screen and i turned it off every time i did not use it and it appeared to help a ton. I was wondering if i should do it or should i just keep everything on and see how it goes?

Up time: 13:43, Awake 2:27

All the settings that come stock, havent changed anything. No 4g though, battery is at 15%/ No complaints.

How is your awake time so low? My unplug time is 15 hours, and awake time ovsr 12 hours. Battery dead now with only light use.

I'm haven't charged my phone since Friday, and I'm still at 20%! 4G the whole time, brightness at 100%, and large amounts of you tube videos...This battery is great..hahahahahaha! Had to throw a little lite hearted poke out there..lol

Why are people so quick to doubt that some people actually DO get good battery life? It does happen.

Yes, this is the internet and it's full of opinions. That's why we're here. To get the opinions and advice of others.

you have an app that is keeping the phone awake. Download spare parts. Then look at the battery info pages at the wake lock screens. That will help you find the app

My incredible is virtually at the same Up time and awake time and my battery is sitting at 58%.

I am pretty nervous that my T-Bolt battery isn't going to cut it. I get it tomorrow, so I will see....

My battery is decent. 4g and gps on all the time. I can make it through 12 hours with moderate usage. Who knows, this might improve over time.

Battery still isn't good, but its starting to feel like its improving a significant amount if thats even possible. I have been monitoring this very closely and will continue to do so this week. hopefully it continues. Either way I will report back my results.

Im not really sure what awake means, I was at work most of the day though and I didn't use it much, browsed and sent texts, downloaded a few apps. I think it was a normal day of usage.

Well its clear that its not going to get the same battery life, but I just went a whole day (Without fully bump charging, didnt get to max when the phone was off before I had to leave my house). Did some average use, browsed sent alot of texts, spent about an hour in a place that has no reception so my phone was constantly looking for service which drains battery, downloaded quite a few apps, and I'm running on the stock settings, brightness high, alot of widgets, etc and I got an entire days worth without ever having to charge.

Maybe it wont give you 2-3 days (For now) like other phones, but one day or enough to comfortably get to another charge is good enough for me.

My battery life has been pretty sporadic. Some days It will go all day with heavy use and have plenty of life left, some days I'll spend a few minutes on the phone and check a couple of emails and its dead, Pretty strange. Hopefully the peeps over at XDA get Cyanogen running on the TBOLT soon, its one of the most battery efficient roms I've used.

It's not really a matter of opinion. I just think some people like to exaggerate their usage time. Some user's battery life defy science, others have bad settings/apps, then there's the group in the middle that's being honest and informative. When people start seeing proof of say...4 hours display time, then there will be no doubt. When you simply see "I browsed the internet for 2 hours", it leaves holes in your statement. Also the "light/moderate/heavy usage" term gets thrown around a ton and everyone's interpretation of it is different.

My bad. Looks like the "awake time" is a running total from when I got the phone last Thursday. How do I reset that?

Mine lasts around 12 hours on the 4G extended network. No complaints here.
What does that mean? If you turn it on and the 4G light is illuminated the phone lasts 12 hours?
We should start a new thread. What can I leave on, instead of what do I need to turn of. It's a shorter list.
I got the extended battery. Very disgusted with VZW and HTC but it solved the problem. Actually easier than the Incredible to use and not as bulky as I thought. I cut my case around the battery and it works pretty well. It definitely is bigger than other phones but usable, at least for me.
One last thing, i'm tired of people saying "OMG! Why should I have to hold back to get a full day out of a battery!" What you don't realize is that these are NO LONGER just phones, they are full blown computers in your pocket. They have as much power as the laptop I owned 8-10 years ago. Back then I was loving when I got more than 2 and a half hours out of my laptop, now we get ~12 hours from a computer in our pocket with a tiny little battery! I think that's fuggin awesome!
Everything is relative. The battery in the phone is far too small. It's 1400mAh and should have and easily been 1750 or greater like the upcoming EVO. If the iPhone 4 gets about 6 hours of actual surfing (not being "on" 3G and hitting a button occasionally) there is no reason not to expect at least 4 hours of 4G usage. Most of us see 2 hours and we spend time using the phone for email, music during commutes, etc. and a phone can easily last one full day with the right battery.

So, can anyone tell me how this TP, with a 1400mAh battery, larger display, 4G radio can outlast the DInc that has a 1300mAh battery, smaller display and no 4G?
All you people either are in denial or smoking the really good stuff.
Or both, lol. :)
HTC and VZW didn't do anyone favors with the battery, upsell... etc. As I said, I got the extended which is more than most need but provides enough power to last a long time and easily reasonable enough 4G on the average day. Perhaps with enough complaints, especially with the Internal memory "error" when we hear what it really is, HTC will be forced to do something, e.g. replace the battery with a higher capacity equivalent instead of engaging in something less desirable. Other than that, as a phone and smartphone it works really well, snappy.

Not going to lie... I disabled my 4g. So far, unplugged for 2 hours and doing some on and off texting and some browsing, nothing labor intensive... My battery has dropped 4%.

Now, I'm in an area with no 4g and was a firm believer that it could be all in the display until I sat there earlier checking my battery life with "battery widget". When I would turn my screen back on, it would drop 2-3% depending how long my phone was off.

I'll report back after a night of work, angry birds, and let's golf 2. We'll see if this is legit.

Another solid day for me. Today I bump charged, currently at 12.5 hours up, 2.5 awake and I'm at 50% spent 8 hours in school, mostly on WiFi. Still no complaints here

Decided to go back to the stock battery for the next few days, due to what people have been posting...

I bump charged today, and here are my results [so far]:
Up time: 5 hours, 30 minutes
Awake time: 4 hours, 45 minutes
Battery level: 22%

I have been on WiFi the entire time (100%), did about 30 minutes of YouTube, some light games, and the rest of the "awake time" I was either fiddling with the settings, or creating and testing Tasker profiles.

As of now, I am still thinking that I'll have to stick with the extended battery (especially because I almost always need to be on 4G, I just happened to have today off and have been home all day). I will give it a few more days to prove itself worthy.

I am NOT going to turn the screen lower than "auto" brightness, and I do not and will not cripple my phone in order to make the stock battery last long enough. I am going to use the phone how and when I want, and I am just interested if I can stretch this stock battery to last for me - if not, I have no problem going back to my extended battery (Like I said, I just wanted to see if what people were saying could be true for my personal usage)

Alright, so I know a ton of threads have been started and posted in regards to issues with battery life. I figured we could have a thread where people voluntarily post what sorts of things they have going on with their phone on a normal day and the kind of battery life they get out of it, in hopes of helping others get better battery life.

For me personally, I have all the settings the phone came with, brightness, etc. I run automatic task killer and I have several widgets on such as the calendar, favorites, and friendstream. I don't charge throughout the day and on my first day with the phone I got about 12 hours awake time, 3 hours or so up time and my battery was at 20%.

Next day I bump charged and I got similar numbers but my battery was at a solid 50%.

Do any of you use battery saving apps like Juice Defender or Green Power? Just wondering the percentage of people who use those, and if you see it as a vital app.

I heard juice defender is real good, however its not working on the TB from what I was reading about it in another thread

Yeah, I used to use Juice Defender. I since moved on to Green Power, which is working on the TB from what I can tell so far.

I heard the beta version of Juice Defender was working for some people on the TB.
