And the old Netcom (we had our own real time, scrolling Netcomers forum.. that's where I learned how to get into.. I mean stay out of trouble :D).

Umm...I was playing/collecting POGS in 1993....I'm just a year or two younger than you :eek:

POGs. That game has been around since my dad was a kid, believe it or not.

1925 or so. Amazing it found popularity in the 90s again.

The game of pogs possibly originated in Hawaii (Maui, Hawaii) in the 1920s or 1930s, or possibly with origins in a game from much earlier: Menko, a Japanese card game very similar to pogs, has been in existence since the 17th century. Pogs returned to popularity when the World POG Federation and the Canada Games Company reintroduced them to the public in the 1990s. The pog fad soared, and peaked in the mid 1990s before rapidly fading out.

Well, you'll be delighted to know that Moderating has become much easier here now (with the notable exception of what to do about tethering posts/threads :rolleyes:).

Phases likes us to go easy on ourselves, and not to stress about things. "What's holding you back from banning the &*&^%#@#!!" is his new motto.

Not true unless the marble was 120' in diameter.

I've argued technically with IOWA with many times in the forums, but I always considered that at the level of a normal exchange between two technical peers, and I always considered that we were - and are - friends.

Anything else along these lines is really best left privately between IOWA and me at this point because there are privacy issues we're about to step on.

Maybe I'm missing the obvious humor intended by the :D mark as saying one thing meaning another, but maybe not everyone reads it that way, so I wanted to be clear on this.

Banning is not a happy thing for anyone involved (unless it's a spammer, and then it's just downright fun).

And it's never personal.

I write this not to defend my actions, but to defend IOWA's rights in this matter - let's please move on. ;) :)

IOWA - I'm glad you're back; I say what I mean and mean what I say. :)
