Then after it updates once via the internet use the Windows Enabler and hosts trick to block it, making sure that the properly configured shttps tool I have provided is running. To debug pull the status window of shttps by right clicking the icon in the task bar and viewing the Message log. When the LG Support tool runs you should see status messages in the Window as well as when the Flash tool is decompressing the KDZ you'll see it copying over to the shttps server via status messages.

If when you run the support tool the shttps server doesn't display the connection messages, you'll need to reboot as most likely the hosts file has not taken effect.

Additionally after the app setup updates it stays memory resident. So install it, update it, modify hosts, , reboot and then start shttps and then the LG Flash Tool 2014 in that exact order. Do not run the LG software update by itself afterward otherwise you'll need to reboot again.

When I open the B2CAppSetupe.exe , a box pops up saying "To check for software upgrades, you need to connect your PC to the Internet and press continue." which I am connected to the internet. And when I click on continue, the same box pops up again and wont go away.
 
Is your hosts file still modified? Also make sure Windows Firewall isn't blocking the program.
 
hosts has to be modified after you initially clean run the program. Clear out your hosts line and tty again.

Thats the thing, I am kind of confused as to what I am supposed to do with the hosts. Do I add the line under the other stuff that is already there, or do I overwrite it completely with just the only the line that you gave us? If it is not too much to ask, I just feel it would be nice if your guide was a bit more specific and detailed as to what we should do because this is all new to me and Im sure others. In no way am I criticizing, I appreciate the time you put in to making the guide, I just think it would help if we were told exactly what to do and where to go etc. since I feel I am annoying you with all these questions :(

Show me your hosts file. Attach it to your post if you can. I'll send you the corrected unmodified version back, and than another version what its supposed to look like when you modify it after the support tool

Thanks, I'm currently unpacking the 10e KDZ. To make this guide nil. Root injected, debloated...need a bit of help though...with the Android SDK...

Ive already unpacked the KDZ and have it all in a folder on my cloud. Letme know if that would help in any way...
 
Ok, This is going to sound like a stupid question, but where the heck do I find the shttps that I'm supposed to run as an administartor?? :) Or the windows enabler, I got the host file thing done fine.

Edit ** Haha duh, nevermind, didn't see the file to download at the bottom, figured it out right after I posted this **
 
I hold down the volume up button and the power button but the phone just appears to keep rebooting and I don't get into any download mode, help?

Hold down the Vol Up and the Power key until it says "LG" on the screen. Then release both of the buttons and immediately push them both down again until something new pops up. This will show you the next step

Were you able to modify my hosts file yet? It still does not work. I feel I am not doing a step correctly. Ive tried following this guide but when I get to the LG Flash Tool part, it does not do what this guy says it would do. Idk if it might be because of the hosts file, but I do not understand the steps that I need to do, its confusing. Do you think you can clarify please? I am losing by mind of this lol its getting frustrating, I want to root so bad every since last November :(

Hey loopy i am super lost on ya instructions man i downloaded everything u said but in not understand what the next step is like it says shhp ? And that b2ac wont even start even after editing the host file please if u could maybe make a video or help me out someway id really appreciate it. Thanks.
