Root [Guide] fixing market error "this device is not compatible" when lowering lcd density

I have mentioned this in the thread that I have made however I'm sure many people will miss it, so i figured I would start a thread just incase someone googles it.
First off I am pretty sure that the root of this problem comes from the new update for the Market. So to fix this problem you need to go to titanium backup, find market.apk, back up the app, clear data, then reboot. If that works for you then great. I took the extra step in downgrading the market. After you have done that you can back up the marketupdater.apk, freeze it and go on your mary way without working about the error coming up. If you need to update the market then just simply unfreeze it.

Another way to fix this is by installing an app called LCD density modder from the market. I went ahead and bought the paid version because it fixed the problem perfectly. It also fixed other problems such as the dialer issue.

To fix the dialer issue you can download exdialer from the market and they have a pretty nice ics themed one.

Have not had this issue at all...what are you running on your Esteem(Rom,Theme,ect)?

glad you haven't had any problems. Running PG's 2.2Ghz kernel(topped out at 2.2) with spchicks gingerfusion, custom dragonball z bootanimation where goku transforms into super saiyan android robot :D , with some icons that I found off of adw glow theme.

Revise: what i ended up doing was unistalling the pic. & re-installing it again & the Pic looks like the fisrt one, strange.
 
I have the same problem and did what you said, but to no avail. Many apps are now "incompatible" though I changed the LCD density back to regular setting. Even apps like facebook are unavailable to me.
