Root Guide: How to root the Flytouch 3

Goodday,
I tried rooting my superpad2 ft3 but could not locate development through the steps given above.Please any help will be appreciated.Here is the screen shot of my pad.Thanks all.

That procedure works for me...but I have Tims4e firmware installed...so I don't need to turn USB debugging on as the firmware roots the device anyway....the development tab missing is probably down to your firmware......

Thanks for your reply, I was woundering if i try installing tims 4e that way....dont know if Its gonna crop out bigger issues. Mine is 20110316.i'm kinda of new to android os though.thanks

You can read all about the custom firmware here Hybrid ROM (rooted) and make your own mind up but apart from cutting edge niggles I doubt you will find anyone saying its worse that the default firmware!!:D
 
I can't believe I got it in 1, just from the first post alone.
Gentlemen, there be ROOT here, on my Flytough 3 Superpad 3.
Once I figured out that the menu was the 4 " --- " (dashs) on the task bar between the Arrow and the speaker.

I have followed all the steps but when I open settings I don't have the development choice on my pad. Ii also have had trouble with my sd card, I can't send apps to the sd. Any help would be great

What happens when you create the launcherpro shortcut?
 
Hello could someone please helping with the rooting of my epad . i downloaded the launcher pro but there is no development what do i do?

The tutorial at the top is correct. To get to development, whether you press the home screen to bring up the menu or bring it up from the menu button you have to hit add+shortcuts+activities+settings to get to development.

If you are not seeing it then maybe there is a version issue with Launcher Pro.
 
Every time I try to download it i get a error that says, "There is a problem parsing the package". How do I get around it?
 
Hello Dears,

I did this procedure once, and worked. But recently i reseted my tablet, and now i can't find the Development by the Laucher Pro. What could be the problem? In case i've excluded the development archive, there is a way to recover, download, restore, or something useful?

I tried this method and it worked. I had to figure out an alternate way because the screens didn't come up in the order specified.
Once i figure out what i did, I'll post a step by step guide.

how do i copy the apk to the SD card and then use App Installer to browse the directory where you put it and then install it?
 
hi guys im new to the android world and got a android 10.2 super-pad3

i rooted its using

luncherpro
z4root
and rom manager
titanium backup

worked pefect and alot faster and saved a extra 1 and half life of battery but then later installed busy box and turned my tablet off and it frooze at the unlock part withyour finger and nothing happens can some one help ???? try to factory reset set by pressing rest then turning it on hold power button / home and big button (back) and it comes up to rebooting in 5s counts down and rest set and turns on but dont come to the factory rest menu can some one help please , email me on leon2010_88@live.co.uk

I think this root process was intended for 2.2, but my new tablet (I *think* is a FT 3, it has 1 tf slot) says 2.3.3

i have a problem connecting the computer with the tablet it says that the device cant be identified so how do i transfer anything from the computer to the tablet and vise versa actually i want to identify the tablet on my computer how do i do that ....

Have you tried a different cable?... I'm afraid I have a Disco model, which does not have a OTG USB port, perhaps someone with one of the newer models that does have an OTG port can advise you if a driver is required......other than that, there are wifi apps as toscal says... or use a flash key to transfer files.

Getting the tablet identified on a PC is only half the battle, AFAIK there is no SAMBA client for Android, so the tablets' folders wont appear in Windows Explorer, and you wont be able to map a drive to the FT3...(but I stand ready to be corrected :))
 
I just got the flytouch3 disco. I am trying to root it. I get everything installed and then when I get to launch the z4root I pick perminate and the it reboots. After that everything is gone. My pro launcher my z4root. It's like I didn't do anything. So then I tried to go to market and just pick something and download it. After that I turn off the flytouch...turn it back on and go to apps and it's gone. It erases my apps after reboot. Wtf? Can someone please help a girl out. I'm new to all this and really have no idea what some of you are even talking about.....I'm getting it tho but I can't return this machine and it's making me mad!!!!!! Please help me

Many people have tablets that have suffered from this problem. There is a fix, READ THIS. I would suggest you don't bother with the first fix and go straight to the 'replace the internal tf card' once you have found, and downloaded some firmware for your tablet. As you have a Disco model i suggest you look at Tim's firmware HERE.. it is pre-rooted so no need to root it after installing it.

You could try just flashing Tims firmware without replacing the internal tf card as the card will get partitioned during the flashing....but it might just forget the changes when you re-boot, and even if it works, the problem may well return as the root cause of the problem is still there.....
