i chose the s2 because i LOVED my vibrant. i wanted the similar phone with the front camera and also the reason that ICS will be available on the S2 in March or April (they say)..even though i could flash it on my rooted S2 right now, I don't trust myself to do that. I love the big screen. There's still a ton of things I'm figuring out on it to get the best of it. I just rooted it today...there's my reasons for the S2..

You really can't go by what other people feel or say. Everyone has their own needs/wants in a phone. One person's pros/cons can be totally different from yours. Read the reviews and watch all the YouTube review/comparison videos for all the specs and general opionions.
Best thing though, is go to the store and see for yourself. Hold them in your hand and test them out. That way you won't get a phone based on what others liked about this or that.
