Root [GUIDE]Security Error FIX

thanks is it normal for the screen to stay flipped after all of it? but if i lock it then unlock it (screen) it flips normal. its fine but i just wanted t know if its normal for it to boot inverted

were you able to flash the recovery image? it should flash during the backwards screen.. this is specifically for cwm or another recovery being flashed without the bootloader being unlocked. If you tried flashing a rom, you may need to follow this http://androidforums.com/optimus-l9-all-things-root/792689-guide-unbrick-manual-update.html OR this
[GUIDE] [UNBRICK][ROOT] FLASH Any LG Factory ROM (kdz) WITH OFFLINE FIX - xda-developers also.

Also, antdogac, the cmd.exe window that you type flash recovery p4_769.img in should say something along the lines of success.. then reboot manually

When i paste the recovery image it says something internal or external batch file??

Hi guys!
I got L9 but my phone is p768 and can u guys give *img for p768 ? i searched in xda too, but not found it. thanks alot

Let me tell you this was an adventure. Hopefully it saves someone a day of there life if ever in the same predicament. Found this out over on XDA (forget the exact post) In my case, I flashed CWM without first unlocking the bootloader, only to come to the Security Error screen on reboot. Takes all of 5 minutes to fix. Only requirements are fast boot and the original recovery image (included). I couldn't for the life of me get fastboot to recognize my phone except but using the included start.bat in the fastboot.zip.. What I did exactly was this:

Unzip fastboot.zip to c:\fastboot
make sure fastboot drivers are installed as stated in c:\fastboot\readme.txt

copy p4_769.img c:\fastboot\bin
run cmd.exe as administrator (right click/run as administrator)
goto c:|\fastboot\bin directory then type: fastboot flash recovery p4_769.img (should receive waiting for fastboot device message)
right click c:\fastboot\start.bat and run as administrator
select option 1

follow the instructions it tells you (i actually had to reinstall the drivers again. should pop up as LG P2 (i believe that was the name) this time, install the same way as first time.
the fastboot flash recovery image windows should show its doing something.

let fastboot flash the recovery. Now when you reboot the phone, you should see a dead android guy. turn back off the phone and do a factory reset (hold volume down, home, and power) it should go through the motions of factory resetting.. Everything is erased, phone is like new again.. Now the proud owner of an unbricked phone..

You need to do things in the right order, took me a few tries too but the screen being flipped means you are in fastboot.

You need to run cmd.exe first
run cmd.exe as administrator (right click/run as administrator)
then run
fastboot flash recovery p4_769.img (should receive waiting for fastboot device message)
then start fastboot
right click c:\fastboot\start.bat and run as administrator
select option 1

Once you see the screen flipped the recovery will start and your phone will reboot to the little dead android, then do the reset of the phone, hold vol -, Home, and power till it resets and you will be back where you were.

Happy reset!!

I did that and got cannot open ;( please help...

Hi guys!
I got L9 but my phone is p768 and can u guys give *img for p768 ? i searched in xda too, but not found it. thanks alot
i did it, in diffrent way, use lg support tool
I did that and got cannot open ;( please help...

u can use lg support tool, itis much easier, just plug your phone with s/w mode (volume up and insert cable)
2. open lg mobile support tool (u can search google, if u have ever try to kdz ofline by fix host file, u have to remove that code if not, lg support tool will not connect to lg sever)
3. on lg support tool, chose instal driver of lg (with me p768, its depend on your country)
4. then chose option => upgrade recovery => paster your imei number(u can find it on your phone when remove battery), ok, every things done, u got your l9 without sercurity error but nothing change, all of your apps still there
P/S: i couldnt run it in my Latop win8, i dont know why, its alway told me that i have to connect my phone to pc, but when i use my friends pc, its ok, so dont worry about it:D

first you have to install driver from folder usb_drv_windows folder without the battery
then run cmd C:\fastboot\bin
then type fastboot flash recovery p4_769.img
[waiting for device] appears
Run"Start" batch file from the fastboot folder by right click "run as administrator"
keep your eye on the Device Manager, look for a device called LG P2 and load drivers from the usb_drv_windows folder
Select option 1 or 5 like I did. the drivers for Lg P2 have to be installed or it will not work
the first cmd window should start to do something, let it finish and once its done and your phone rebooted its safe to disconnect

I had installed twrp recovery from an image with Flashify which got me into this mess.
I am just experimenting with this old LG p769 to learn to flash phones and will continue to try to flash it to android 6.0.1
