Root [GUIDES] OneClickRoot | v10J Flashable ROM | Unbrick Guide

I'm using the 1-ClickRoot v1.3 method & phone is in download mode/Firmware update @0%
Command window (on desktop PC) is at "rooting phone" @ 90%,has been there for 10+ minutes.
Should I heed the "Do not unplug until the process is complete" warning,or abort & try again?

which variant do you have?
 
OK,pulled battery & re-booted,no problem,still not rooted.
Tried several times,keeps hanging at every step of the root process,only progresses when switching between MTP & PTP.
Gonna factory reset & start over.....

Make sure usbdebbuging, unknown sources and MTP are checked ✔

Double-checked everything,even tried to run v1.2 & nada.
The d/l I got is missing the ports.bat,perhaps this is causing problems?
Either way,1.3 & 1.2,SuperSu is not installing & not getting root.
 
I re-installed drivers (3.14) & trying 1-Click again,stalls @ the 60% Rebooting into download mode,never rebooting into download mode.

If I toggle between MTP & PTP,it goes through the motions,but,never roots the device....

There is no malware in that root. It's a very popular root method with over 40,000 downloads. That's the one I used and had no issues of any kind. Click the blue download button not the orange.

I'll be back on about 18 hrs from now.

My apologies regarding the link GT,the orange button is the one that loaded up my PC w/the warez/etc..... it's all good,no harm,operator error on my behalf,please accept my apologies.

Why not use kingroot apk way easier and simpler.

THX again everyone,I'll work on getting TWRP & the 5.1.1 ROM installed tomoorow.
Again,THX to all for tolerating me,hopefully others will learn from my FUBARs...... :D
 
i just tried LG Bridge to recover my brick and it didn't work :/ i think i am gonna have to wait for the new one that i ordered. then get back into making TWRP work
 
QUICK UPDATE:
After rooting w/KingRoot & installation of TWRP 2.8.6.0 w/FLASHIFY on LOLLIPOP 5.0.2, I was able to update ROOT, ROM & RECOVERY using GAME THEORY's 5.1.1 ROM & TWRP 2.8.7.0 found here:

The installation was a total success and now rooted w/Chainfire's SuperSu 2.46,no sign of KingRoot,must have been overwritten/etc......
